Ideas / Phantasm: Erin O'Keefe

Ideas / Phantasm: Erin O'Keefe
J Robison

Erin O’Keefe is an architect and artist who designs photographic images that play with a viewer’s ability to recognize the boundaries between two and three dimensions. She creates elaborate sets with found objects and mirrors, arranging the items so their interspatial relationships are fraught with confusion when viewed from a particular angle, and then takes a photograph from that spot. The resulting images are complex and have many areas for the viewer to concentrate upon.
