Photographer

Kevin Miyazaki is a photographer in many disciplines as well
as being a local Milwaukee artist. He
spoke at the UW-Milwaukee campus as part of the Artists Now! Lecture series.
Kevin spoke on several topics ranging from his past work to
how he shoots his photographs. His work
goes from commercial work for magazines and business portraits to art
photography and historical photobook creation and curation. Some of the most interesting work in his talk
came from his Camp Home series.
This work centered on the internment camps of the Japanese
Americans during the second world war.
This topic was especially interesting because it was both intensely
personal and yet, because he used found photography as part of the creation, it
also appealed to those interested in the history of the event.
